Halloween Round Up 2017
Last weekend we were as busy as ever and our glam squad was out in full force getting our VIPS ready for their Halloween parties! This year we organised Lottie Moss and her girls, the ultimate Halloween pre-drinks party. Lottie and her friends got well looked after and had our elite stylists round giving them dreamy (or not so dreamy) Halloween makeovers, giving us some of our favorite looks from this year!
LanaiBLO Official gave a helping hand with their professional-grade hairdryers and the ‘In Your Dreams’ glitter fairies gave them an added extra touch of sparkle. Carmex lip balm was used to ensure the celebs jewels and sparkles were well stuck for the whole night! We even supplied them with delicious sparkling coconut water with ginger and vodka, from ‘Twisted Halo’ and ‘Kute’ cakes with their Halloween treats. Once the Chelsea celebs were ready they headed off to Love Affair at One Embankment.
Lottie Moss and Emily Blackwell
The gorgeous Lottie Moss and Emily Blackwell chose to dress up as bunnies this year. Now not exactly on the scary side, but they still looked amazing! To give it that Halloween touch, our SFK guru Nicola O’Rourke added a slashed throat, oozing with blood. We asked Nicola how she created this and she commented;
“I used a sculpt gel by mixing the two product parts together. This was then formed them into a slash shape on the neck, this takes about 10 minutes to set. I then added some flesh colours to blend it in with her skin tone and into her neck. Next, I added a product called ‘fresh scratch’ to the inside of the wound and finally added ‘drying blood’, which dripped down the neck.”

It definitely seems that 2017 is the year of Halloween glam and less of the scary, which was shown by one of our favorite Secret Spa fans Lilah Parsons. She attended Stormzy’s girlfriend Maya Jama’s Halloween bash at Albert’s Club in London, dressed as Kylie Jenner. Wearing a lime green wig and make-up done by our elite artist Athena, no longer is it purely about the guts and gore! We spoke to Athena about how she completed this look…
“I emphasied a lot on highlighting and contouring to create a well-defined face – one of the Kardashian’s famous traits! This was achieved by using key products such as ‘Nars creamy concealer‘ and ‘Tom Ford shade and illuminate 01 intensity‘. I also used the baking technique under the eyes and on the forehead, where I used ‘Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder‘, allowing it to settle before brushing off. Baking helps to set the base foundation and concealer, leaving a flawless, creaseless finish. On the eyes, I used ‘dose of colours’ and ‘huda beauty palette’. The whole look was purely about getting a super matte, flawless finish with really full coverage.”

Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews
However, over the weekend Vogue Williams and boyfriend Spencer Matthews were spooked up by our team. Instead of sparkles and glam, they chose to opt for a more horrifying look, making them basically unrecognisable! Vogue went as Voldemort and Spencer was a Darth Maul from Star Wars. After all, Halloween is meant to be scary! These looks were achieved by Laura, our Secret Spa elite makeup artist, and her insane SFX skills. We asked Laura how she achieved these looks.
“For Spencer Matthews look, I used premade latex horns by molding ‘Fimo clay‘ and layering on liquid latex. I then applied a bald wig cap which she stuck down with ‘Pros-Aide adhesive‘. Then, I applied ‘Derma Shield Mousse‘ to protect the skin from staining, followed by using ‘MAC Pro Chromacake‘ in red and black to paint on the design. The latex horns were then stuck on with more ‘Pros-Aide Adhesive‘ and painted to blend in with the rest of the face. The look was completed with ‘MAC Invisible Powder‘ to set to ensure it lasted all night.
As for Vogue, her nose was created by layering masking tape across the nose and covering with tissue and latex. She also had a bald cap used, which was applied the same way as Spencers. Vogues face was then painted using a mixture of ‘Mac Pro Chromacake‘ in white and ‘MAC White Full Coverage Foundation‘, ‘MAC Shivering White Studio Fix‘ and ‘Grimas‘ water-based paints in black, pink and grey. Finished with ‘MAC Invisible Powder to set‘.”
